The Days of the Week
The days of the week once wanted to be free to get together and have a party. But each of the seven days was so occupied, the year around, that they had no time to spare. They wanted a whole extra day to relax and enjoy themselves.
As a student, my weekdays are filled with routine and activities. I get up at six o'clock every day, have breakfast at half past six, and go to school at seven o'clock. I have classes from Monday to Saturday, with an English class on Friday and a PE class on Tuesday. On Sundays, I don't have to go to school, and I like to go swimming.
On Monday, I will go to the library after school because I want to find some useful books. On Tuesday, I will go swimming with my friend because I want to try something different. On Wednesday, I will play ball with my brother because I have so much time to study. On Thursday, I will do my homework and prepare for the weekend. On Friday, I will have an English class. On Saturday, I will do some shopping or visit my relatives. And on Sunday, I will relax and enjoy myself, maybe by reading a book or watching a movie.
Despite being so busy, the days of the week still manage to find time to have fun. They enjoy their time together, even if it's just for a short while. And that's the beauty of the days of the week – they may be busy, but they never forget to enjoy themselves.
